The Higher Education Commission has enforced new graduate and undergraduate Education Policy fall 2023 in all DAIs / Universities of the country.The Focal person of Undergraduate Education Policy (UEP) and Graduate Education Policy (GEP) Dr.Syeda Samina Tahira Assistant Professor/Incharge Department of Education GCWU arranged a training session from 07-08-2023 to 11-08-2023 for all HODs and Faculties regarding the implementation of Undergraduate Education Policy (UEP) and Graduate Education Policy (GEP) in the university. She told that the UEP and GEP (2023) introduced new framework, requirements and structure of all undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Undergraduate Education Policy (UEP) and Graduate Education Policy (GEP) has been framed according to the National Education Policy. The primary objective of GEP and UEP is to promote education success, applied knowledge, balance between breath and depth and emphasis on creativity. General education requirements of new UEP comprise of Art and Humanities, Natural Science, Social Science, Expository Writing, Quantitative Reasoning and entrepreneurship and community engagements. This new Undergraduate Education Policy (UEP) and Graduate Education Policy (GEP) will able the students to refine their scholarly abilities and competency base learning. Undergraduate Education Policy include two years, four years and five years degree programs. Graduate Education Policy give frame work and structure of all MS / M. Phil ( level 7 ) and PhD degree programs ( level ????. She also emphasized that all departments will implement and merge the new Undergraduate Education Policy (UEP 2023) and Graduate Education Policy (GEP 2023) in their scheme of studies in true letter and spirit. All requirements and needs must be fulfilled as per new HEC policy and guidelines.
